Happy Thursday! In this issue of the Animation Obsessive newsletter, we’re talking about great festival films that have come online for free.
A ton of exciting, impactful animation hides on the festival circuit. The wider public might not see it for years after it debuts — or ever. Even when films do become available online, they’re easy to lose in the shuffle. So, we’re shining a light on some of them here.
Before we get into the issue, a quick note about The Unofficial Art of Coraline, the free PDF we released on Sunday. The initial response was incredible, but the links went down earlier this week, and many weren’t able to read it. Although our uploads aren’t back online just yet, we’ve discussed the problem with Laika and have been told that it’s an error, and that they should be restored soon. We’ll let you know.
