Thank you for this brilliant discovery and for spreading the word!
Machini is a treasure to watch and definitely reminds us that creativity is a strength, vision, grit, curiosity and audacious play. African talent shines through again and again ✨️
PS: The embedded link is not working on my end. Is there another way to view the animation?
Wow, I was floored by this film at a festival several years ago, and it's been an important reference film for the Animate Materials Workshop... but I've had to rely on still images and descriptions without having the film itself. Thank you for reaching out to the producers and bringing it to a wider audience!
There is so much handcrafted love imbued with this style. You can feel it in every carfully set piece of stone. I really like the mix of stopmotion and 2d handrawn animation. Thank you for sharing!
The ingenuity of Africans never ceases to amaze me 😊
Beautiful! Can you reshare the link perhaps? The embedded link doesn't work. ✨
Hey! Very sorry -- not sure why it isn't working. You should be able to access it here: https://vimeo.com/1198432881/8ecda138c2

I’m so glad you covered Congolese animation. Congo is capable of so much more than being exploited by the wealthy.
