Note for those just opening the article, or otherwise looking for a way to view The Unofficial Art of Coraline:
Both links were active on Sunday (November 12) when the issue released -- many, many people have had the chance to read and/or download the PDF. However, both have since gone down. We're currently working on this and will update everyone when we have an answer. We really appreciate your patience.
They're still offline for now, unfortunately. But we do have an update to share! After the uploads were taken down, we got in touch with Laika's management. They told us that it was an error, thanked us for making the PDF and confirmed that the takedown notice would be reversed. That was a few days ago, and we've just been waiting for the reversal since then. We'll let everyone know if and when The Unofficial Art of Coraline is available again. Thank you so much for your patience!
I don't usually leave a comment of appreciation here (though I really need to) but this is such an incredible resource I couldn't help myself...I am in awe of what you are doing for the art and animation community. Thank you
This is really incredible and a super inspiring project! In the name of preservation, it would be great to add it to Archive.org (if you haven't already). This sort of project represents such a wild amount of work and dedication. Congratulations and thank you! ❤️
Ah, really appreciate this kind message! Putting it on Archive.org was one of the first things we did -- definitely want to make it available to everyone into the future. We're happy that so many people seem to be enjoying it.
That's fantastic! I can't really overstate how cool this is. I think this kind of resource is so valuable. The more people get to see this kind of thing the more open the industry can become. I love everything you guys share but this kind of open project is a high-watermark. Again, congrats!
Thank you! We're glad that it's all resonating. And the Coraline PDF should be back online soon -- we've been in contact with Laika and it has a green light to return. We'll update everyone when it's out.
Hope that you are able to get it uploaded elsewhere - I'm so sad that I missed downloading it in time. Thank you all for putting this resource together!
Thankfully, all signs point to this being resolved soon! We'll post an update for everyone once the files are available again. Thanks so much for your patience.
So happy you're enjoying it!! Putting this thing together was the craziest workload we've ever had with the newsletter and it's wonderful to see folks getting something out of it.

Yeah, they are!
Haha, thank you! We really appreciate the kind words.
The read online / download links aren't working for me, I see there were issues with them, so just commenting to see if I get updates. Thank!

Hey guys, love the newsletter. The PDF has been taken down from download on mega
Thank you! We're having a problem with the Mega link right now. At the moment, the PDF is still accessible on the Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/the-unofficial-art-of-coraline
INCREDIBLE dedication! Looks like the link broke in the time between this morning and now, I'll keep my eye out for a revised link :0
