Thank you again for your wonderful articles. I am new to your postings and I was wondering if you list info about worthwhile film festivals? I just won the Experimental category from the Berlin Indie Film Festival. They sent me a very short email w congratulations but not much else. The other info is to come in a future email. Any insights you have on this Festival or any other would be appreciated. My animations pretty much fall into the Fine Art/experimental category. Thank you, Janet K.
As for your question -- first of all, congratulations on the win. That's amazing news. There are a lot of festivals out there and we don't keep up with them all, so unfortunately we can't tell you much about BIFF, but it seems to have great reviews on FilmFreeway.
Some of the key animation festivals are Annecy, Animafest (in Croatia), the Ottawa International Animation Festival, Hiroshima Animation Season, Feinaki Beijing Animation Week, Animasyros (in Greece), GIRAF (in Canada), the Big Cartoon Festival (in Russia) and the London International Animation Festival. If you're looking to submit your work, one of the best places to check for openings is ZippyFrames' regularly updated list of festival deadlines: https://www.zippyframes.com/festivals/next-deadlines
we are gonna have to talk to Substack and have them put an option to click on “LOVE” so that i can feel satisfied with reacting to articles you publish. i clicked “LIKE”, but it doesn't come close to how i feel about your posts…just sayin’…

your content consistently WOWs me…Thank You Both…again WOW!
Thank you! We're really hoping that the film gets picked up for wider distribution -- it just seems like such an obvious buy for companies like GKIDS. Fingers crossed for next year.
Oh man I've been hearing about The Glassworker for a while now! I'm seeing this post at 2 AM though I did already read a bit but definitely excited to read this in the morning
